October 24: October 18 Prompt
You get some incredibly, amazingly, wonderfully fantastic news. What is the first thing you do?
To really get down to the essence of that amazing feeling of hearing great news, I would like to present it to you in a form of a haiku:
The Universe’s Embrace
Bubbles inside me
Rising and popping laughter
Whenever I hear good news, whether it is happening to me or to someone else, I’ve always felt this feeling of bubbles inside of me. No, not the nervous kind of bubbles nor the bubbles that make you want to use the bathroom. They’re the bubbles that are filled with happiness and warmth and if there were something to come out of them, it would definitely be laughter and good vibes. Speaking of good vibes, as I was scrolling through my Instagram feed, I stumbled upon a caption that made me smile and made me think: It’s gonna be a great week! It was a caption written by a dear friend of mine from high school and whom I studied with in Paris. She usually posts a lot of amazing pictures that she’s taken on her own with little reflections about each photo. On this specific photo posted today, it was a beautiful sunset and in her caption she mentioned how she liked the word “Monday” due to the fact that in French mon means “my/mine”. If you roughly translated “Monday” in French and English it is: my day. Doesn’t that make you feel like Mondays from now on are bearable? It’s your day to shine!
