Hello everyone! Here is the first video out of many for the Kaleidoscope Series. On this edition, I take you with me to Paris, the City of Lights, where I explore my old stomping grounds I resided in while studying abroad there. I lived pretty close to a bunch of landmarks which made the stay all the more worth while. Back when I was still in my junior year in architecture school, I was offered a position to take part in the study abroad program in Barcelona, Spain. Then, reality hit me. My family couldn’t afford my trip let alone a deposit to secure my position. I remember feeling devastated about the whole ordeal and I broke a special promise with one of my closest friends. I also remember that that issue caused a riff in our friendship. A year went by and another opportunity came knocking around the corner without my expectation. A trip abroad to study in Paris. Not only did it happen right before I graduated but the program was more affordable than other trips as well. Through the help and guidance I’ve received from family, friends, and my dear teachers and mentors, I was able to jet set off to the City of Lights.
It goes to show that if one door closes, another one opens. Just have faith.
